The vision of Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) is to transform the world into a world that does not experience human-induced biodiversity loss and where people live in harmony with nature.

Its mission is to form a global coalition of individuals and youth organizations in order to end the loss of biodiversity by mobilizing and empowering young people while increasing the world's awareness of the importance of biodiversity.

GYBN aims to represent the voice of global youth in negotiations under the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), to raise awareness among young people about the values of biodiversity, and to connect individuals and youth organizations in order to build a global coalition on biodiversity loss.
