The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) funds research in developing countries to promote growth, reduce poverty, and drive positive change on a large scale.

As a Canadian Crown Corporation, IDRC provides support to leading experts who are in a position to generate the knowledge and find solutions that developing countries need in order to make lasting change. It offers resources, advice, and training so that these specialists can put their innovations into practice and benefit those who need them most. In short, IDRC increases opportunities and makes a real difference in people's lives.
