It has been found that the main gatherers of mushrooms are women and children under 15 years of age and that in general a picker could have 3 kg/day for all species combined. With regard to markets, it was noted that prices differ from one market to another and from one species to another and that at the central market of Rumonge the supply is less than the demand. In terms of households, it has been found that the vast majority of people living in these hills bordering the forest know and consume mushrooms.
