The Scientific Bulletin on Environment and Biodiversity has just been set up by the Committee of Editors of the INECN Scientific Bulletin, which was created in May 2006 and which had already published 13 issues. The present bulletin therefore comes to work in the spirit of the first with the same Scientific Committee and the same Editors Committee. The overall objective of creating the Scientific Bulletin on Environment and Biodiversity therefore remains that of setting up an information system to disseminate scientific knowledge on biodiversity across the continent. This scientific newsletter is annual.

The publisher of the newsletter is the Clearing House Mechanism (CHM). The CHM-Burundian is a center created in 2002 under the Belgian Partnership under the Convention on Biological Diversity. This newsletter is distributed free of charge online and in print. Articles published in this newsletter may not be republished or commercially manipulated under any circumstances.
